Substack has decided that money is king, which is not a shock in our capitalist hellscape, and they are not interested in deplatforming Nazis. (Yesterday they said they would remove a few newsletters, but they’ve made some crap statements and moved too slowly for my liking.) That is not cool with me, so I’m gonna bounce. Thanks for reading my newsletter, and sorry that I got so inconsistent. (It’s possible I’m also deleting Substack because I got bored.) I’ve imported all my content over to my website, and my posts will go up there from now on. I may set up a newsletter elsewhere; most likely it will only be for updates if I get on the publishing train. I have one final chunk of edits to do and then I’m going to start querying, so that’s where that’s at. Of course, rather than actually work on it, I spent yesterday and today updating said website. As usual, this involves a lot of fiddling around and then one final tweak breaks the entire site. My tech support (husband) had to spend two hours last night putting it back together for me. But it is done now, looking hot, and I am lighting this space on fire tomorrow.
Merry 2024, and happy winter, and best of wishes to my seven loyal friends who follow me to every ADHD-fuelled project I start. See you at amplenert.com.
